Manufacturers in Ohio account for 17.77 percent of the total output in the state.

Ohio is a very diverse state in many ways. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, just over 700,000 Ohioans work in manufacturing. In terms of employment, manufacturing ranks fifth. This is behind trade, transportation, utilities; education and health; government; and professional and business, respectively. Manufacturing has lost roughly 60,000 jobs over the last decade, and I would argue that it has an impact on all of the other jobs in our great state.
We want to “Drive it Home” to help protect the Ohio workers in manufacturing. This will also help preserve jobs in other fields as well. Just over the last year, more than 300 UAW 1112 members have left our state to work in manufacturing in other states. They are now supporting business, transportation, education and health in other states. Help us protect manufacturing jobs in Ohio. GM Lordstown is one of the largest manufacturing facilities in the world and it is right here in the great state of Ohio. We can build our future one job at a time.
